Royal News editor Russel Meyers first mentioned the nickname Free during a 2019 appearance on British talk show Lorraine.
Metal is "tough and unyielding," Meyers explained at the time, which pays homage to the inner strength of the Archetypes podcast host.
"It's a little weird but I think he really respects her," the pundit shared.“He thinks she managed to pull it off [the media coverage] well.”
Although Meghan and Harry, 38, have been at odds with the rest of the Royal Family since stepping down from their senior roles in 2020, the Queen's death on September 8 has brought family members together - both physically and emotionally.
Charles, for his part, specifically mentioned the founders of Archewell - who are the proud parents of 3-year-old son Archie and 16-month-old daughter Lilibet Diana - in his inaugural address as king. September 9.
